Hey there… I’m Tasha. When I first began blogging in October of 2013, it was just a hobby. I had no idea people earned money from blogging! But after blogging for a few months, I learned that you could “monetize” your blog, so I started to look into it. I quickly and easily learned all about sponsored posts and ads. I also quickly realized that I wouldn’t earn much money from those sources until my traffic grew. I was determined to find a better way to earn an income with the blog traffic I already had.
I knew affiliate marketing may be the answer, but I could not find a comprehensive, detailed resource that explained HOW affiliate marketing can be used by bloggers. So, I learned everything I could about affiliate marketing and after a lot of trial and error, it is now a significant source of income for my blog. Just take a look at my affiliate income growth (the chart below excludes other income sources for my blog–what you see is JUST affiliate sales) since I monetized my blog in April of 2014.
Now, I regularly earn at least $3,000 per month in affiliate sales just by linking to craft supplies and home decor items in my blog posts. And I have earned as much as $40,000 per month through affiliate marketing when revenue from promoting special affiliate programs to my audience. Combined with my other blogging income, I’ve been able to more than replace the income I was making as an attorney and now blog full-time.
